Suitable for materials which cannot be heat treated. As the spray painting method does not require curing at high temperatures it is ideal for materials such as plastics.
Wider range of colours. Due to the chemistry of wet paints there is a far wider range of colours available, this allows for more precision when colour matching.
Thinner finish. Wet paints can offer thinner finishes than powder paints for a finer and more delicate touch.
Environmentally friendly for small jobs. Due to the finishing process wet paints don’t require time in an oven, this is more economical and environmentally friendly for small jobs.
Less durable. Wet painting is not as durable as powder coating there for more likely to require re-finishing and maintenance.
Difficult to finish. As the paint starts as a liquid a perfect finish can be tricky to achieve, therefore multiple coats can be required.
Wet paint application. We use the spray gun method combining compressed air with paint. When the spray gun is activated the compressed air mixes with the paint, which in turn is pushed through the nozzle creating a fine spray. This spray then settles on the object giving a fine coating of paint. Our highly skilled operator holds the spray gun about 15cm – 25cm from the object and moves back and forth ensuring each stroke overlays the previous.
